Dear Pat;

Great Britain's Crime Policies

I have commented in these pages on the rising crime rates in Great Britain and Asustralia since the banning of firearms in those countries for self-defense. Corroboration of my research now comes from a source as diverse as FORBES Magazine in an article by eminent British historian and author, the Honorable Paul Johnson. In the February issue of FORBES Johnson wrote an article he titled "Britain: A Thieves Paradise." He says, "Americans should be thankful they live in a country that takes crime seriously and is fighting it with growing success."

Johnson goes on to say that crime in Great Britain has reached "pandemic propertions", that few crimes are solved and that it is almost impossible to obtain burglary insurance unless the homeowner first installs "fortress-like security devices." In fact, hesays, "The only occasions that bestir the police to frenetic activity are when the houshold interrupts a burglar and resists him. If the burglar is hurt, his victim is invariably charged with assault." Think about that, fellow Americans!

An example Johnson uses to illustrate the reversed rol of the police and English justice system is that of a farmer who had been repeatedly burglarized and had received little help from the police, who then attempted to scare two burglars he had caught in the act by threatening them with his shotgun. But rather than fleeing, the burglars attacked the farmer and, in the ensuing struggle, the gun went off and one of the intruders was killed. The farmer was sentenced to life imprisonment. Though the sentence was later reduced on appeal, he was refused early release by the parole board on the ground that he was ( and I'm not making this up ) "a danger to burglars."

Mr. Johnson concludes a well-documented article by observing, "When a society abolishes capital punishment, it ceases to regard crime as a moral wrong and sees it a merely as a social problem." Then in closing he says, "The treatment of crime in Britain shows a historic shift away from the protection of life and property toward the pursuit of ideological ends." And he adds, "This is one of the reasons I advise young people nowadays to immigrate to the United States."

We must never allow this kind of liberal social experimentation to infect the United States. Where would we immigrate to?

NOTE TO MY WIFE

My Dear Wife,

You will surely understand that I have certain needs that you, being 54 years old, can no longer satisfy.  I am very happy with you and I value you as a good wife. Therefore, after reading this letter, I hope that you will not wrongly interpret the fact that I will be spending the evening with my 18 year old secretary at the Comfort Inn Hotel. Please don't be upset I shall be home before midnight.

When the man came home late that night, he found the following letter on the dining room table:

I received your letter and thank you for your honesty about my being 54 years old.  I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that you are also 54 years old.

CLEAR AS BLACK AND WHITE

Let me see if I understand this. The man holding the office of President of the United States of America also holds the distinction of having a white mother and a black father. And currently being touted as the first 'African-American' President. The fact that he was born in Indonesia has nothing to do with it I guess ( which also makes his presidency a farce but never mind details ). So, consider this scenario.

Say, my father, a white man, has a lineage finding its roots in France ( sorry to say but true ). Now for the interesting part: my mother is also a white; but, has her roots in South Africa. I may only conclude then that though I were born in America and, unlike the aforementioned fake,  can prove it beyond any doubt; one may only conclude that I am as 'African-American' as he is - only legitimate.

OBAMA PROVIDES TERROISTS A HAVEN IN TIME OF WAR

President Barack Obama has signed an executive order presidential determination allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to resettle in the United States. Sure, what can go wrong when we allow hundreds of thousands of people who have been, as Mark Steyn memorably described, "marinated" in a "sick death cult," who voted for Hamas, and 55% of whom support suicide bombings live here and at the American taxpayers' expense:

By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure of $20.3 million in migration assistance to the Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza.

The "presidential determination" which allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States was signed on January 27 and appeared in the Federal Register on February 4.

President Obama's decision, according to the Register, was necessitated by "the urgent refugee and migration needs" of the "victims."

Few on Capitol Hill took note that the order provides a free ticket replete with housing and food allowances to individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.

Let's review some of Barack Obama's most recent actions since he was inaugurated a little more than two weeks ago:

• His first call to any head of state as president was to Mahmoud Abbas, leader of Fatah party in the Palestinian territory.
• His first one on one interview with any news organization was with Al Arabia television.
• He ordered Guantanamo Bay closed and all military trials of detainees halted.
• He ordered all overseas CIA interrogation centers closed.
• He withdrew all charges against the masterminds behind the USS Cole and 9/11.
• Today we learn that he is allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refuges to move to and live in the US at American taxpayer expense.

I  hope  every  Refugee  Hamas  Palestinian  moves  in  next  door  to  some  Non-GUN  owning  person  that  Voted  for  OBAMA,  because  we  KNOW  how  peace  loving  the  Hamas are.   Importing  TERRORIST  in  the  US  !!!!!

QUEEN MADAME PILOSI

Remember the big flap about Sarah Palin's dresses?

Americans!  Where are you?  Are you awake?  We haven't heard any comment on "Queen Madam" Pelosi's snit about having to ride home in the small private, economy jet that comes with the Speaker's job.  Remember how Madame Pelosi was so aggravated that this little jet had to refuel while transporting her to California "every" week? Remember that she insisted on a  luxurious  200 seat jet to fly her to California nonstop, instead?

Hello Folks!  Are you awake? Can't you muster even a little indignation?

Washington legislators who observed the Madam's Big Fat jet grinned with glee as Joe Biden informed everyone that Nancy's luxury Jet will require hard working American tax payers, to buy thousands of gallons of expensive jet fuel every week. She only works 3 days a week but her gas guzzler luxury jet flights home, to California , costs  taxpayers $60,000 one way!  As Joe noted, "Unfortunately we have to pay to bring her back on Monday night", so there goes another $60,000.

Folks, that is $480,000 per month or an annual cost to taxpayers of $5,760,000.  And  she complains about the cost of the war?  She could take the smaller jet which she says would cramp her style -- but since her flying in style takes precedence over war costs -- what the hell, eh?

Military families in this country do without while this woman, who heads up the most do-nothing Congress in the history of our country, spends lavishly to fly herself and associates to and from California every week. That burns me!!  How about you?

Madame Pelosi expects you and me to conserve our carbon footprint by driving smaller cars and buying a bicycle pump to over-inflate our tires for better economy while she and her hypocrite cohorts waste tax payer dollars. Ticks me off mightily! How about you?

Keep this circulating maybe it will get to someone who will have enough gumption to do something about it.

FAIRNESS AND EQUALITY REVISITED

At the top right hand corner of Page 17 of the New York Post of January 24th, 2009, was a short column entitled "Replacing Michelle" in the National Review "The Week" column. I found this interesting, so here it is, word for word, as it appeared a few days ago......

'Some employees are simply irreplaceable. Take Michelle Obama: The University of Chicago Medical center hired her in 2002 to run "programs for community relations, neighborhood outreach, volunteer recruitment, staff diversity and minority contracting." 

In 2005 the hospital raised her salary from $120,000 to $317,000 - nearly twice what her husband made as a Senator.

Oh did we mention that her husband had just become a US Senator? He sure had.  Requested a $1 Million earmark for the UC Medical Center, in fact. Way to network Michelle!

But now that Mrs Obama has resigned, the hospital says her position will remain unfilled.

How can that be, if the work she did was vital enough to be worth $317,000?

We can think of only one explanation: Senator Roland Burris's wife wasn't interested.

You're an 19 year old kid. You're critically wounded, and dying in the jungle in the Ia Drang Valley, 11-14-1965, LZ X-ray, Vietnam.  Your infantry unit is outnumbered 8 - 1, and the enemy fire is so intense, from 100 or 200 yards away, that your own Infantry Commander has ordered the Medi-Vac helicopters to stop coming in. 
You're lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns, and you know you're not getting out. Your family is 1/2 way around the world, 12,000 miles away, and you'll never see them again. As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day. 

Then, over the machine gun noise, you faintly hear that sound of a helicopter, and you look up to see an un-armed Huey, but it doesn't seem real, because no Medi-Vac markings are on it. 

 Ed Freeman is coming for you. He's not Medi-Vac, so it's not his job, but he's flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire, after the Medi-Vacs were ordered not to come. He's coming anyway. And he drops it in, and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 2 or 3 of you on board. Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire, to the Doctors and Nurses. And, he kept coming back 13 more times. And took about 30 of you and your buddies out, who would never have gotten out. 

Medal of Honor Recipient, Ed Freeman, died at the age of 80, in Boise, Idaho. May God rest his soul. Oh yeah, Paul Newman died that day too. I guess you knew that - He got a lot more press than Ed Freeman the real hero. 

CHOOSING A WIFE

A man wanted to get married. He was having trouble choosing among three likely candidates. He gives each woman a present of $5,000 and watches to see what they do with the money.

The first does a total makeover. She goes to a fancy beauty salon, gets her hair done, new makeup; buys several new outfits and dresses up very nicely for the man. She tells him that she has done th is to be more attractive for him because she loves him so much.

The man was impressed.

The second goes shopping to buy the man gifts. She gets him a new set of golf clubs, some new gizmos for his computer, and some expensive clothes. As she presents these gifts, she tells him that she has spent all the money on him because she loves him so much.

Again, the man is impressed.

The third invests the money in the stock market. She earns several times the $5,000. She gives him back his $5,000 and reinvests the remainder in a joint account. She tells him that she wants to save for their future because she loves him so much.

Obviously, the man was impressed.

The man thought for a long time about what each woman had done with the money he'd given her. Then he married the one with the biggest tits. Men are like that, you know.

There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.

US BEING PUT ON NOTICE

Reportedly there are six states putting the US Government on notice of their sovereignty under the 10th amendment of the US Constitution. So far I have only been able to discover actually docs for three.

1. Georgia
2. Arizona
3. New Hampshire

The other three are Ohio, Oklahoma and Washington state. There are many hits when doing a Google search but nothing I have seen from the states' actual web sites showing and or quoting the legalise of resolution.

I also read last year about the state of Montana passing secession legislation over the 2nd amendment. Haven't rediscovered that link although doing a Google search brings the expected multiple million hits. Interestingly, it appears all states at one time or another have rattled the secession sabre and those are found here.

Regardless, I believe we will live to see armed conflict in America again and with the blessing of and resulting from the long-term planning of the largely liberal stranglehold on this country since the election of FDR. There can be no question where our current president stands concerning personal liberty and freedom - I would think the idea of a Civil Defense Corps would give you a reminder and clue, of things like the SS and or other Brown-Shirted, Jack-Booted thugs sent into the night by other power hungry elitest of human history. And if he can only get all those damned guns out of the equation...

AUSTRAILIAN GUN BAN UPDATE

Hi Yanks & Canucks, I thought you all would like to see the real figures from Down Under. It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by a new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by our government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars.

The first year results are now in:

·        Australia-wide, homicides are up 6.2 percent

·        Australia-wide, assaults are up 9.6 percent

·        Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent

·        In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 30 percent. (Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not and criminals still possess their guns!)

While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since the criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed. There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the elderly, while the resident is at home.

Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased after such monumental effort and expense was expended in 'successfully ridding Australian society of guns.' You won't see this on the American, Canadian, evening news or hear your MP, governor or members of the State Assembly disseminating this information.

The Australian experience speaks for itself. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws affect only the law-abiding citizens.

You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.

You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair. 

ARTICLE VII: 

You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure. 

ARTICLE VIII: 

You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful. Amen and Amen 

ARTICLE IX: 

You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.
