THE OTHER GROUP

In Germany they first came for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.

Then they came for me –
and by that time no one was left to speak up.

Currently, in Oregon, it is called Public Road Closure and or Destruction by the Forest Service, Wilderness Study Areas by the BLM and Navigability by the State Land Board, what's next?

NEW 1K BILL

With the inevitable rampant inflation we are certain to be facing, I have a suggestion for a new bill in One Thousand Dollar denomination:

One square of toilet tissue. It will have a Jackass on the back going down a yellow brick road, sufficiently loaded with free Bubble-Up and Rainbow Stew.

Of course no coinage would be proper without a picture. So, put Obama on the front. It will be like the Sacajawea dollar - she wasn't a president either but at least she was born here. Then that is why she is on something of metal.

FATE OF UNTOLD MILLIONS

"The time is now near at hand which must probably determine, whether Americans are to be, Freemen, or Slaves; whether they are to have any property they can call their own; whether their Houses, and Farms, are to be pillaged and destroyed, and they consigned to a State of Wretchedness from which no human efforts will probably deliver them. The fate of unborn Millions will now depend, under God, on the Courage and Conduct of this army-Our cruel and unrelenting Enemy leaves us no choice but a brave resistance, or the most abject submission; that is all we can expect-We have therefore to resolve to conquer or die." -- George Washington to his troops before the Battle of Long Island.

ONE PERCENTERS

There is at least one prediction by July of next year the US will be fully engulfed in Civil War and that induced by the current Obama government and the culmination of at least serious plan, beginning with the George Sr. through the Clinton and the George Jr. administrations. I am even beginning to believe Reagan had a hand in it, maybe unwittingly but guilty nonetheless. Hell, it may have even been the plan beginning with the landslide victories of the 2nd and 3rd Roosevelt administrations; demonstrating the American abandonment of individual freedom, at all costs, in favor of Big Brother. Give the fiddler a dram...

I just finished reading two books: Founding Brothers and 1776. The Tories have always been with us ( and in the majority ) from the beginning! John Adams, our second president, was a raving liberal ( A Yankee Federalist ) in abject favor of monarchy and absolute Federal control of government in this country. He and Jefferson ( A Southern Republican ), though friends, were polar opposites in regard to government to the point they did not speak to each other for twelve years; even, while Jefferson was Adams' vice! Interestingly, on July 4, 1826 they died within five hours of each other – Jefferson first. Give the fiddler a dram...

It was only through the drunken arrogance of a certain Hessian General Rall and his routing defeat at Trenton by a (then) all but defeated Washington that we even had a country anyway. The Continental Army was defecting in mass to King George in plain view of the 'New Englanders' who were Loyalists in the majority. So, with the exception of about 1% of the population back then, Americans were for the most part, sniveling, whining cowards much as they are today! Give the fiddler a dram...

I wonder if we have any "1% ers" today and will they carry the day? May the South rise again!

NO MORE FREE WACOS

Explication - noun; the act of making clear or removing obscurity from the meaning of a word, symbol or expression. -- Webster's Dictionary.

5 May 2009

Dear Eric,

I believe I'm entitled to use your first name, since you have expressed an interest in circumscribing my liberty and seizing my personal property, to wit, three heretofore legal semi-automatic rifles of military utility (mistakenly dubbed "assault rifles"). Anyone who wants to do something so personal and intimate as to commit premeditated theft upon you need not be given any honorifics, don't you agree? I mean, if a street thug announces that he wishes to rob you, there is no need to address him as "Sir" this or "Mister" that. Why should rapacious government thieves who announce their intentions so boldly be treated any differently? If you are offended by the fact that you are unused to being addressed in this manner, I can only say that you are not as offended as I am at the prospect of your administration trying to steal my property and liberty.

But, that is not why I write you today. No, I received what I believe to be a credible report this afternoon about someone whom the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives views as a real thorn in their side. The substance of the report has it that you, or someone in your office, has, in reference to this friend of mine, muttered something very much like the following:

"What miserable drones and traitors have I nurtured and promoted in my household who let their lord be treated with such shameful contempt by a low-born cleric! . . . Will no one rid me of this troublesome priest?"

That, of course, was Henry the Second speaking of the Archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas Becket, in the year of our Lord 1170.

Shortly thereafter, four of Henry's knights, Reginald Fitzurse, Hugh de Moreville, William de Tracy, and Richard le Breton entered Canterbury Cathedral, and beat Becket to death with swords, scattering his brains on the floor. "Let us go," said one, "this fellow will not be getting up again."

That political murder had great consequences for Henry, and he regretted it the rest of his long reign.

But enough of Henry. Let's talk about the alleged threat. I am sure that this is a base canard, something attributed to you by someone who just wishes to make trouble. However, as it happens, this is not the first time, or even the second, that I have heard such threats attributed to your department since the election.

Yet, surely, such an educated man as yourself would not make King Henry's mistake. However, it seems likely that it did come out of your department, so let us say that in some perverted attempt to convey a threat to "this troublesome priest" one of your subordinates actually uttered it. Let us say, for purposes of hypothetical argument, that it is in some sense, true.

I know how agencies can spin out of control if not properly guided by upper management. So do you. I'm sure that you saw the television images out of Texas on 28 February and 19 April 1993. I think you would agree with me that neither of those days likely represented the official policy of the Clinton administration. Yet, they happened.

Subsequent to that, citizens formed self-defense militias, millions more of your hated "assault weapons" were imported and sold before the ban and we spent the next seven years staring uneasily at one another, waiting for the next government-issue bloody shoe to drop. Oh, yes, and your party lost control of the Congress, with even President Clinton blaming it on the passage of the Brady Bill and the Assault Weapons Ban. The Law of Unintended Consequences sure sucks, doesn't it?

But, the other shoe didn't drop.

Yet, there's something you should understand about that whole process. As an amateur historian and keen observer of current affairs I can see it without difficulty.

You only get one free Waco.

If the statistics on the sales of firearms and ammunition tell you anything, you ought to understand that the same dynamic is at work now and yet from your point of view you haven't DONE anything to deserve it. Oh, you've muttered occasional threats to reinstate the Assault Weapons Ban, but no one believes politicians when they speak anyway.

So why, you may ask yourself, is this happening?

Like I said, Eric, you only get one free Waco. It was your original sin. The botched raid, the massacre, the cover-ups, we've been through them already. You may remember that no one was held to account for that -- not very reassuring to the citizenry. And if, as is apparent, someone in the Department of Justice hasn't learned the lessons of the first Waco, we, the millions of "bitter clingers" out here in fly-over country, have. We have no reason to be trusting of your motives. For we, and you, have been here before.

So, let me explicate the obvious: There are no do-overs, not when it comes to your employees killing American citizens for bad reasons. Look around, count the guns, estimate the billions of rounds of small arms ammunition in private hands, and consider that the latest Janet has already declared most of the rest of us, including veterans, "domestic terrorists" anyway. Do you think we have not noticed? Do you think we do not remember the misdeeds of the last administration you were a part of?

In addition, recent government misconduct -- bureaucratic, legal and judicial -- in the Wayne Fincher and David Olofson cases (the same kind of chicanery that rightly caused you to overturn the conviction of Alaska Senator Ted Stevens) has convinced many of us that there is no percentage in betting on a fair trial if the ATF sets their sights on us and we are not part of the Mandarin class.

If we are no longer under the rule of constitutional law but are merely subject to irreversible bureaucratic diktat and we do not fancy being railroaded in a patently unfair federal trial where expert witnesses are denied access to evidence, then our options when approached by ATF agents are rather limited. It is plain, in the absence of the right of a fair trial, that a target of ATF investigation has little to lose by resorting to the right of an unfair gunfight. This may be an unintended consequence of those cases. It is nonetheless real.

Wake up and smell what your administration is shoveling from downwind, where we are forced to stand. And please understand the predicament you've put yourselves in by your present and former bad behavior.

There will be no more free Wacos.

Please, for all our sakes, counsel your employees, who apparently seek to curry your favor by misquoting you, that replicating 1993 is neither good policy nor is it your intention. We don't need any more itchy trigger fingers in this country.

And Eric, not to put too fine a point on it, but you and I both can make an educated guess about what mischief will likely ensue if ANY high-profile Second Amendment activist "has an accident". Best to tell your lads and lasses to stick to those nice safe paper cases (you know, the ones with the 4473s completed with a "Y", rather than "yes") and confine their wet-work fantasies to their off-duty reading. There's still lots of vicious drug gangs, murderous career criminals and real terrorists out there to keep them busy without picking a fight with honest American gunowners who merely want to be left alone.

Thank you for your kind attention in this matter. I wish you a nice, full and safe term of office. Really.

MEXICAN STANDOFF

The shoe is on the other foot and the Mexicans from the State of Sonora, Mexico don't like it. Can you believe the nerve of these people? It's almost funny.

The State of Sonora is angry at the influx of Mexicans into Mexico. Nine state legislators from the Mexican State of Sonora traveled to Tucson to complain about Arizona 's new employer crackdown on illegals from Mexico. It seems that many Mexican illegals are returning to their hometowns and the officials in the Sonora state government are ticked off. A 20 delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was in Tucson on Tuesday to state that Arizona 's new Employer Sanctions Law will have a devastating effect on the Mexican state.

At a news conference, the legislators said that Sonora, Arizona's southern neighbor, made up of mostly small towns, cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools that it will face as Mexican workers return to their hometowns from the USA without jobs or money.
The Arizona law, which took effect Jan.1, punishes Arizona employers who knowingly hire individuals without valid legal documents to work in the United States. Penalties include suspension of, or loss of, their business license.

The Mexican legislators are angry because their own citizens are returning to their hometowns, placing a burden on THEIR state government. 'How can Arizona pass a law like this?' asked Mexican Rep Leticia Amparano-Gamez, who represents Nogales.

'There is not one person living in Sonora who does not have a friend or relative working in Arizona,' she said, speaking in Spanish. 'Mexico is not prepared for this, for the tremendous problems it will face as more and more Mexicans working in Arizona and who were sending money to their families return to their home-towns in Sonora without jobs,' she said. 'We are one family, socially and economically,' she said of the people of Sonora and Arizona. Wrong! The United States is a sovereign nation, not a subsidiary of Mexico, and its taxpayers are not responsible for the welfare of Mexico 's citizens. It's time for the Mexican government, and its citizens, to stop feeding parasitically off the United States and to start taking care of its/their own needs. Too bad that other states within the USA don't pass a law just like that passed by Arizona. Maybe that's the answer, since our own Congress will do nothing!

New Immigration Laws: Read to the bottom or you will miss the message.

1.      There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools.

2.      All ballots will be in this nation's language.

3.      All government business will be conducted in our language.

4.      Non-residents will NOT have the right to vote no matter how long they are here.

5.      Non-citizens will NEVER be able to hold political office.

6.      Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, or other government assistance programs. Any burden will be deported.

7.      Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount at least equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.

8.      If foreigners come here and buy land, options will be restricted. Certain parcels including waterfront property are reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.

9.      Foreigners may have no protests; no demonstrations, no waving of a foreign flag, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our president or his policies. These will lead to deportation.

10.  If you do come to this country illegally, you will be actively hunted &, when caught, sent to jail until your deportation can be arranged. All assets will be taken from you.

 Too strict?.

The above laws are current immigration laws of MEXICO! These sound fine to me. NOW, how can we get these laws to be America's Immigration Laws?

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS

In a 2003 address to the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, Richard Smalley, Nobel laureate in chemistry (1996), forecast that "by 2010, if current trends continue, over 90 percent of all physical scientists and engineers in the world will be Asians working in Asia."

One possible explanation for this sharply declining science enrollment by Americans and the sharp increase of Asian students comes from scholars in the People's Republic of China. Chinese paleontologists studying the famous Cambrian explosion fossils in the Chengjiang shale in the Yunnan province have commented to their American collegues, "In China we are not allowed to criticize our government leaders, but we are free to criticize Darwin. In your country you are free to ciriticize your government leaders, but you are not permitted to criticize Darwin."

Contrariwise, an avowed know-it-all body of Christendom, indifferent to discovery of fact and self imposed ignorance of the same; and faith over fact mentality of polarization are in fact, to blame?

Faith gives the right of new birth not willful ignorance. What brings that faith? It is NOT a blind faith! Adam received his first assignment to review creation and give it nomenclature or saying it another way, a means of identification Gen 2:19. We must ask ourselves, 'for whose benefit?' There therefore, can be no contradiction between the discovery of fact by scientific method and faith in the Genesis account. It is however the responsibility of the faithful to know and understand that ALL of creation speaks of the glory of God, in decency and order, and that takes dedicated work; and with the expectation of the creator from the beginning, to do so.

Faith without works is dead being alone. James 2:26 KJV

THIS BUD'S FOR YOU

A cowboy named Bud was overseeing his herd in a remote mountainous pasture in California when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced toward him out of a cloud of dust.

The driver, a young man in a Brioni suit, Gucci shoes, RayBan sunglasses and YSL tie, leaned out the window and asked the cowboy, "If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, Will you give me a calf?

Bud looks at the man, obviously a yuppie, then looks at his peacefully grazing herd and calmlY answers, "Sure, Why not?"  The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell notebook computer, connects it to his Cingular RAZR V3 cell phone, and surfs to a NASA page on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite to get an exact fix on his location which he then feeds to another NASA satellite that scans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo. The young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop and exports it to an image processing facility in Hamburg,  Germany. Within seconds, he receives an email on his Palm Pilot that the image has been processed and the data stored. He then accesses an MS-SQL database through an ODBC connected Excel spreadsheet with email on his Blackberry and, after a few minutes, receives a response. Finally, he prints out a full-color, 150-page report on his hi-tech, miniaturized HP LaserJet printer, turns to the cowboy and says, "You have exactly 1,586 cows and calves."

"That's right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves," says Bud. He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on with amusement as the young man stuffs it into the trunk of his car. Then the Bud says to the young man, "Hey, if I can tell you exactly what your business is, will you give me back my calf?"

The young man thinks about it for a second and then says, "Okay, why not?"

"You're a Congressman for the U.S.  Government", says Bud.

"Wow! That's correct," says the yuppie, "but how did you guess that?"

"No guessing required." answered the cowboy. "You showed up here even though nobody called you; you want to get paid for an answer I already knew, to a question I never asked. You used millions of dollars worth of equipment trying to show me how much smarter than me you are; and you don't know a thing about how working people make a living - or about cows, for that matter.  This is a herd of sheep. Now give me back my dog.

RANSOM

A driver is stuck in a traffic jam going into downtown Chicago. Nothing is moving north or south.Suddenly a man knocks on his window; The driver rolls down his window and asks, 'What happened, what's the hold up?'

'Terrorists have kidnapped Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, Rosie O'Donnell, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, and the Democratic leaders in Congress. They are asking for a $10 Million ransom. Otherwise, they are going to douse them with gasoline and set them on fire. We are going from car to car, taking up a collection.' The driver asks, 'On average, how much is everyone giving?'

 'About a gallon'

LOSERS AND WANNABES

Anyone with a brain knows the homily told below is true. Socialism cannot and does not work: it hasn't at anytime the past; doesn't now; and never will anytime in the future. Its an idiom for losers and wannabes.

An economics professor at Texas Tech said he had never failed a single student before but had, once, failed an entire class. That class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said ok, we will have an experiment in this class on socialism.

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A. After the first test the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. But, as the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too; so they studied little... The second Test average was a D!  No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame, name calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for anyone else. All failed to their great surprise and the professor told them that socialism would ultimately fail because the harder to succeed the greater the reward but when a government takes all the reward away; no one will try or succeed.

STIMULUS: MORSUS PANDUS

Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the White House. One is from Chicago, another is from Tennessee, and the third is from Minnesota. All three go with a White House official to examine the fence.

The Minnesota contractor takes out a tape measure and does some measuring, then works some figures with a pencil. "Well," he says, "I figure the job will run about $900: $400 for materials, $400 for my crew and $100 profit for me."

The Tennessee contractor also does some measuring and figuring, then says, "I can do this job for $700: $300 for materials, $300 for my crew and $100 profit for me."

The Chicago contractor doesn't measure or figure, but leans over to the White House official and whispers, "$2,700." The official, incredulous, says, "You didn't even measure like the other guys! How did you come up with such a high figure?" The Chicago contractor whispers back, "$1000 for me, $1000 for you, and we hire the guy from Tennessee to fix the fence." "Done!" replies the government official.

And that, my friends, is how the new stimulus plan will work.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.  Thomas Jefferson

NUGENT FOR PRESIDENT

STENCH

The country is not sick and dying spiritually because it has and supports rampant and blatant homosexuality; it is quite the opposite: we have rampant homosexuality and the blatant support of it because we as a people are spiritually dead already!  What we are experiencing is the stench of a corpse long dead! That is the declaration and condemnation of Romans 1:16-32.

Why would and how could the spiritually alive expect anything else?

COMMITMENT

In response to an offline discussion about the content of this blog:

Your comment about me being a bit 'tight' is interesting. The things I post on the blog (with exception to the light hearted jokes ) are truths as a mutual acquaintance said "methods and concepts are many and change often, but principles are few and never do." We are seeing the very end of the greatest government and people to ever grace civilization with its and their presence. ... In the meantime cutthroats like the Obama's, Bush's, Clinton's, etc will reek havoc with the last vestige of freedom and liberty known in the world. Yes I put the Bush's in the same list. I believe GW has done more to bring this country down than any foe we have faced in our history. He has certainly set the stage for an avowed Marxist/Islamist like Obama.

‘Any government strong enough to give you all you want is strong enough to take all you have.’ Thomas Jefferson

This I believe and make absolutely no apology for it. Contrariwise, I am not naive: the truth is the truth whether I know it, understand it, believe it, support it or practice it.

No matter the would-be and contemporary 'messiahs', who would pretend otherwise.

JAMES MADISON

Americans have the right and advantage of being armed - unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. James Madison

As long as the reason of man continues fallible, and he is at liberty to exercise it, different opinions will be formed. James Madison

Do not separate text from historical background. If you do, you will have perverted and subverted the Constitution, which can only end in a distorted, bastardized form of illegitimate government. James Madison

I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments by those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations. James Madison

If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy. James Madison

In framing a government, which is to be administered by men over men, you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself. James Madison

It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood.  James Madison

Liberty may be endangered by the abuse of liberty, but also by the abuse of power.
James Madison

The executive has no right, in any case, to decide the question, whether there is or is not cause for declaring war. James Madison

The means of defense against foreign danger historically have become the instruments of tyranny at home. James Madison

The people are the only legitimate fountain of power, and it is from them that the constitutional charter, under which the several branches of government hold their power, is derived. James Madison

The truth is that all men having power ought to be mistrusted. James Madison

To suppose that any form of government will secure liberty or happiness without any virtue in the people is a chimerical idea. James Madison

Where an excess of power prevails, property of no sort is duly respected. No man is safe in his opinions, his person, his faculties, or his possessions. James Madison

CLASS TRIP

A group of 3rd, 4th and 5th graders, accompanied by two female teachers, went on a field trip to the local racetrack, (Churchill  Downs ) to learn about thoroughbred horses and the supporting industry (Bourbon), but mostly to see the horses.

When it was time to take the children to the bathroom, it was decided that the girls would go with one teacher and the boys would go with the other. The teacher assigned to the boys was waiting outside the men's room when one of the boys came out and told her that none of them could reach the urinal.

Having no choice, she went inside, helped the boys with their pants, and began hoisting the little boys up one by one, holding on to their 'wee-wees' to direct the flow away from their clothes . As she lifted one, she couldn't help but notice that he was unusually well endowed.

Trying not to show that she was staring the teacher said, 'You must be in the 5th grade.'

'No, ma'am', he replied. 'I'm riding Silver Arrow in the seventh race, but I appreciate your help.'

MARXIST AMERIKA - USSA

Why is Obama targeting Rush Limbaugh?  Very simple, if you understand that one of Obama's primary "mentors" (in addition to Obama's close friends and supporters -1) unrepentant terrorist William Ayers, -2) racketeer Tony Rezko and -3) lunatic racist Jeremiah Wright) was in fact Saul Alinsky - an avowed communist and the original "community organizer"; who literally wrote the book on radical community organization strategy.  And again, in case you missed it - Obama's mentor - if you don't know who Saul Alinsky is, you don't know who Barack Obama is.  Thanks to the mainstream media, very few folks ever heard of Alinsky, particularly during the campaign - yet another reprehensible example of the mainstream media's complete abdication of their journalistic, ethical and moral obligations to America and Americans (that's real Americans, not the 20+ million illegal aliens taking advantage of real Americans).

From Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" - RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

This is a direct quote from Alinsky's "Rules For Radicals".  They don't have George Bush to go after anymore, so now, based on their polling - and by "they" I mean Obama, James Carville, George Stephanopolis, et al - they've picked Rush Limbaugh as the voice of conservatives and conservatism in America - by applying Alinsky's Rule #12, they fully intend to marginalize all conservatives by marginalizing Rush Limbaugh.  Whether or not you like Rush isn't the point - the point is that Barack Obama adheres to and believes in Marxist economics, and through the "stimulus package v.1 + v.2 + v.2 + v.ad infinitum - he fully intends to achieve the redistribution of wealth that Marxism/socialism requires.  The stimulus package has nothing to do with stimulating the economy; it is entirely focused on the concept of nationalizing industry, the banks and implementing Marx's philosophy - "from those according to their ability to those according to their need" again straight out of the Karl Marx playbook (not to be confused with Groucho, Harpo or Zeppo).

Make no mistake about it, that's where Obama fully intends to take America - he has told us as much many times.  This is a man who, in an interview on Chicago radio several years ago, called the U.S. Constitution a "charter of negative limitations" - a man who, during a speech in Colorado during the campaign, said he believes we should have a civil defense force as well funded and equipped as the military - a man who appointed an Attorney General who does not believe in the 2nd Amendment right to bear arms.

While all is certainly not lost, we are surrounded by the harbingers of America's demise - the point of no return could be the institution of socialized medicine, because once the government has control over our personal health and well-being they literally have control over our lives - and by extension our death.  Do we really want federal bureaucrats making life-or-death decisions for us and our families?  Imagine, if you will - Barney Frank, Charles Schumer, Harry Reid, John Murtha, Barbara Boxer - and Nancy Pelosi - picking who lives and who dies.

How long can real Americans - liberal or conservative - continue to ignore this pattern of behavior?  How long will real Americans deny the inevitable outcome?

America is at a crossroads; which way do we choose?  Do we go with the flow or stand against the tide?

Will we answer the clarion call in time?

Nobody ever said it'd be easy

BLONDS

An old, blind cowboy wanders into an all-girl biker bar by mistake. He finds his way to a barstool and orders some coffee. After sitting there for a while, he yells to the waiter, 'Hey, you wanna hear a blonde joke?' The bar immediately falls absolutely silent. In a very deep, husky voice, the woman next to him says, 'Before you tell that joke, Cowboy, I think it is only fair, given that you are blind, that you should know five things:

1.    The bartender is a blonde girl with a baseball bat.

2.    The bouncer is a blonde girl.

3.    I'm a 6 -foot tall, 175-pound blonde woman with a black belt in karate.

4.    The woman sitting next to me is blonde and a professional weightlifter.

5.    The lady to your right is blonde and a professional wrestler.

'Now, think about it seriously, Mister. Do you still wanna tell that joke?'

The blind cowboy thinks for a second, shakes his head, and mutters,  'No, not if I'm gonna have to explain it five times.'

NATION OF COWARDS

An unfortunate fact of modern life in America is that we have been taught cradle to grave we have rights; rights, with absolutely no expectation of responsibility. Among the most egregious of which is the foolhearty notion Law Enforcement is responsible to protect our persons and property. Nothing could be further from reality. It is the responsibility of the individual, yes even the MORAL responsibility of the individual to protect themselves and their holdings.  "Crime is rampant because the law-abiding, each of us, condone it. excuse it. permit it. submit to it. We permit and encourage it because we do not fight back immediately, then and there, where it happens... The defect is there in our character. We are a nation of cowards and shirkers."

Possibly the most dangerous and shamefully misleading ads on T.V. is the rediculous notion an alarm system will deter a criminal bent on taking from your property and from your person withersoever. HOGWASH! By all means get an alarm system - that is good, moreso for your insurance payoff than any hope of personal protection - that duty falls directly upon us as individuals and our ability to wield a 12 ga. shotgun - for instance. It is a proven fact from Law Enforcement the very distinctive sound of activation of the slide action of a shotgun brings an immediate halt to most violent encounters.  I would bet far more affective than the fifteen minute warning given by home alarm systems.

And as Dirty Harry demonstrated: is it really loaded? Well, is it, punk?

TOLLERANCE

Diversity as a natural outgrowth of color-blind policy is good. Diversity for its own sake is racism.

THOMAS PAINE

A long habit of not thinking a thing wrong gives it a superficial appearance of being right. Thomas Paine

Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property... Horrid mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them.  Thomas Paine

Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one. Thomas Paine

It is an affront to treat falsehood with complaisance. Thomas Paine

That government is best which governs least. Thomas Paine

The instant formal government is abolished, society begins to act. A general association takes place, and common interest produces common security. Thomas Paine

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it. Thomas Paine

To say that any people are not fit for freedom, is to make poverty their choice, and to say they had rather be loaded with taxes than not. Thomas Paine

BETTER THAN SOCIAL SECURITY

Bill Clinton is getting $12 million for his memoirs;
Hillary got $8 million for hers.

That's $20 million for the memories from two people, who for eight years, repeatedly testified, under oath, that they couldn't remember anything.

More shameful yet is the trail of blood left in their wake in the 90's - how soon we forget. I wonder how many threats or jogging of memories it took to get Congress to ignore the Emoluments Clause of Article I, Sec. 6 disqualifies Hillary Clinton from serving as Secretary of State

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12 KJV

NEW NATIONAL SYMBOL

The US government announced today it is changing its national symbol to a condum because it more accurately reflects the government's political stance.
  • A condom allows for inflation
  • Halts production
  • Destroys the next generation
  • Protects a bunch of pricks
  • And gives you a sense of security while you're getting screwed.
It just doesn't get any more accurate than that.

LIBERALS ARE A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER

When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe,
we shall become as corrupt as Europe.
Thomas Jefferson

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those
who are willing to work and give to those who would not.
Thomas Jefferson

It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes.
A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.
Thomas Jefferson

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the
government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense
of taking care of them.
Thomas Jefferson

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results
from too much government.
Thomas Jefferson

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.  Thomas Jefferson

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear
arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
Thomas Jefferson

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of
patriots and tyrants.
Thomas Jefferson

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which
he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.
Thomas Jefferson

Very Interesting Quotes

In light of the present financial crisis, it's interesting to read what Thomas
Jefferson said in
1802:

'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.'

A WARNING TO THE US.

Dear Pat;

Great Britain's Crime Policies

I have commented in these pages on the rising crime rates in Great Britain and Asustralia since the banning of firearms in those countries for self-defense. Corroboration of my research now comes from a source as diverse as FORBES Magazine in an article by eminent British historian and author, the Honorable Paul Johnson. In the February issue of FORBES Johnson wrote an article he titled "Britain: A Thieves Paradise." He says, "Americans should be thankful they live in a country that takes crime seriously and is fighting it with growing success."

Johnson goes on to say that crime in Great Britain has reached "pandemic propertions", that few crimes are solved and that it is almost impossible to obtain burglary insurance unless the homeowner first installs "fortress-like security devices." In fact, hesays, "The only occasions that bestir the police to frenetic activity are when the houshold interrupts a burglar and resists him. If the burglar is hurt, his victim is invariably charged with assault." Think about that, fellow Americans!

An example Johnson uses to illustrate the reversed rol of the police and English justice system is that of a farmer who had been repeatedly burglarized and had received little help from the police, who then attempted to scare two burglars he had caught in the act by threatening them with his shotgun. But rather than fleeing, the burglars attacked the farmer and, in the ensuing struggle, the gun went off and one of the intruders was killed. The farmer was sentenced to life imprisonment. Though the sentence was later reduced on appeal, he was refused early release by the parole board on the ground that he was ( and I'm not making this up ) "a danger to burglars."

Mr. Johnson concludes a well-documented article by observing, "When a society abolishes capital punishment, it ceases to regard crime as a moral wrong and sees it a merely as a social problem." Then in closing he says, "The treatment of crime in Britain shows a historic shift away from the protection of life and property toward the pursuit of ideological ends." And he adds, "This is one of the reasons I advise young people nowadays to immigrate to the United States."

We must never allow this kind of liberal social experimentation to infect the United States. Where would we immigrate to?

Sincerely,

Reg LeQuieu
